We can sit and ponder, think and write
Try a bit harder to shine some light
We could squeeze for answers from our mind
And hope to make that illusive find
We often question about these things
But seldom do we find it brings
Answers from a truly honest search
Or comfort with a lasting perch
Not only does confusion reign
Hearts get pounded and drenched with pain
Reason takes a backward step
And logic only seems inept
But we stay the course and push the same
A love that’s more than just a game
An earthly life with much more reason
To be around for one more season
And we’ll never ever stop, we’ll never ever quit
We’ll keep on moving and we’ll never ever pit
Our worlds keep turning and our hearts keep burning
We know if we keep swinging that we’ll someday get a hit
If only they could see our thought
Show some sign that we’re not caught
Falling from the peak of blessed
Spiraling down to hate possessed
Why not drop the self illusion
Help us reach a true conclusion
No more telling endless tales
Blowing false wind at our sails
Taking this road even one more time
It’s not smart, it’s just a crime
Let’s grab the wheel and force a turn
Rather than watch our own lives burn
It will be a new direction
A different color, more clear reflection
Go we must toward warmer ground
Too long the cold has hung around
And we’ll never ever stop, we’ll never ever quit
We’ll keep on moving and we’ll never ever pit
Our worlds keep turning and our hearts keep burning
We know if we keep swinging that we’ll someday get a hit
